There is no charge for the accommodation, but carers are responsible for all other costs (transport, food, travel insurance etc.) and there’s a £33 admin fee to help with the cost of operating our charity.

This is currently covered by the carer directly at the point of booking a break or by personal arrangement with your organisation or other carer break funds that can help.

In future, we hope that this will be covered more permanently by local authorities or breaks funding, as Carefree aim to become a self-sustainable charity in the next few years.
